_Day 108 - 30 September - 167 Miles
Castillo de San Marcos - Fort Matanzas
_The Road
Rosie quit on me at a food stop three miles from the Florida border! I had a pretty good idea what the problem was, but lacked the tools to get at it. Her ignition wires were spliced and I had rerouted the throttle cable under tank when I changed it. The vibration knocked the splices loose. Red Line Power Sports was kind enough to drive over to the Burger King and fix her in the parking lot for me. The Parks Quick stops at Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas completed my this IBA National Parks Tour. A ranger at Fort Matanzas unlocked the Visitor Center so I could get my stamps though I arrived after closing. The treat was ambling down A1A to Daytona Beach after spending so many miles on I-95. Lodging It’s early for Biketoberfest, but there is much to do for the store I work at during events. The owner is a long time friend and I have use of his loft during the time I am here. I am finding more and more photos I know I took that are not in my files! The electronics on my camera have been a bit strange since the storm at Ponca State Park in Nebraska, yet I remember seeing them when I downloaded to my computer. |
