With that accomplished, I decided to satisfy my curiousity and stop in at Orange County Choppers. The building itself is quite impressive! The public area is pretty much a retail outlet for their branded merchandise, with several of their bikes on display. There is a hallway with a glass wall that allows people to watch what is going on in the shop, not alot while I was there, though it may be interesting to watch them film.
While the theme bikes are interesting, they make me think of the plastic models my brother and I used to glue together when we were kids. They're nothing more than show pieces. I couldn't even imagine wanting to ride one!
Had I arrived in Newburgh earlier in the day I would have been much more impressed to see the start of the 2012 Cannonball Run from Motorcyclopedia ... a cross-country endurance run on pre-1930 motorcycles! (http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com/)
