Registration - Glitch 1
There is no way of knowing if choosing Glitch was a foretelling or jinx, all I can say for sure is that if I had to choose one word to describe this adventure, "glitch" fit!
As the registration deadline for Summer Internationals approached, I still had not received confirmation mine had been received. Contacting the WITW Toledo Chapter verified my registration had been lost. Was Creator telling me not to go? I resent my application and spent July riding with my brother, Alec.
With a newly acquired Dyna Switchback, Alec was excited to be out on the road again! Our first adventure took us to the Copake Iron Works, then over to Pittsfield MA for a late lunch. Going to Mt. Washington was in his mind, until I told him I was registered for the NY HOG Rally starting the following day.

The rain began as we approached the NY border, reaching near zero visibility in the dark twisties of NY-22. Our best option for getting back to Newburgh was to cross the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and zip down the NYS Thruway! Dyna was christened on its first ride!
The HOG Rally was ok, sponsored by our three local dealerships; Woodstock, Moroney's, and O'Tooles. The best part for me was spending time with my brother!
Two weeks later, we left Newburgh at 5 am, headed for Mt. Washington It was to be a slow wandering ride with unknown possibilities. We kept talking about Acadia Maine.

Alec and I both prefer dirt and gravel to interstates, this late and dark made it an exception. I-495 to the Mass Pike to I-84 ... the roads were nearly deserted! We rode side by side, each in our own lane, and nailed it! The lights and overpasses coming through Hartford CT would have made wonderful photographs if we had taken the time to stop.
Arriving back in Newburgh at 3 am, we found we had covered 746 miles in 23 hours and we had a blast! If we had planned it and not spent time ditzing around, we could have easily done an IBA Saddlesore 1000.
