Visiting Interlude
_The Road
Eight days of miles visiting friends and family add up, some of it just riding my favourite back roads. The Doctors Allise Marter-Craft is a truly gifted chiropractor, unparalled by others I have seen. A visit was warranted after all the miles and dropping Rosie in Wisconsin. Finally recalling the bulls-eye mark on my leg in South Dakota, the extreme exhaustion I’d been experiencing made sense. Lyme Disease was confirmed by my family physician, calling for a two month course of antibiotics. I should have seen a doctor right away! Thom made another visit to the Emergency Room for his asthma. At least this time he wasn’t admitted. Lodging My checkbook was stolen from my saddlebags while I was in with the doctor. At least I realized it right away and cancelled the missing checks and credit cards as soon as I got home. Fears of identity theft were assauged later that night when it was found in the trash behind the doctor’s office. Apparently the theif was in the waiting room when I reported the theft to the receptionist and ditched it quickly. |
