Greetings Riding Friends Near and Afar All,
– How You Start the New Year; Is How You Want To Spend the Coming Year –
Subject Today is January 1st Polar Bear Run, wherever you might be in Louisiana (or other).
Why not start a Tradition in your Home Town of a Polar Bear Run,
It doesn’t have to be a “cause-du-jour”.
Make it a Breakfast/Brunch, Visit with riders that show up, then decide on somewhere to ride to get something to eat/drink/warm-up (40+ miles hopefully), watch the game, head to the house or another couple stops..
In the past we have met at Fast food joints, ie a Dairy Queen (pancakes and coffee) and then rode to a Legion Hall for Bloody Mary’s and football games , other times we’ve had breakfast-brunch catered at an Establishment, then rode to the next town to another Motorcycle Friendly Establishment.
It doesn’t take much, call email a buddy and go out to ride “Be Seen and Not Looked For” (in the coming year too) roll back home and share a New Year’s meal with friends and family, find an appropriate way to bring cheer.
Whatever you do, your actions will create good karma, which helps everyone.
V/S,
Nite Train
The following is copied from an email I received the other day. Is anyone game to join me on a New Years Day ride? If yes, leave me a comment with your suggestions where to ... leaving from Kerhonkson NY.

I've been riding now for over 40 years, beginning in the dirt on a Honda SL-70 when I was 12. I always leaned more toward trials riding than racing, but also loved riding the tracks (flat track and motocross) with the guys I came up with when they'd practice (on a Honda Elsinore 125). Our motto then was "If you don't go down you're not riding hard enough!" ... not finding your limits. Archives
